NHS Health Checks At The Greenwich Health Live Well Centres
Everyone is at risk of developing some conditions, but the good news is that they can often be prevented – even if you have a history of them in your family.
A Health Check helps you reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease, dementia and other conditions that we become more at risk of developing with age.
In Greenwich, residents are offered the enhanced NHS Health Check PLUS, which looks at all of the above plus, your overall mental health and your risk of cancer.
How The NHS Health Check PLUS Works

If you’re in the 40-74 age group without a pre-existing condition, you can expect to receive a letter from Greenwich Health on behalf of your GP, inviting you for a free NHS Health Check every 5 years.
Have You Received A Letter About Your NHS Health Check?
Once you have received your letter, simply contact the Greenwich Health line at 0800 068 7123 and asked to be booked for your NHS Health Check PLUS.
You will also receive a self-booking link if you prefer to book your appointment on line. However, if you require an interpreter or are on any medication for blood pressure, cholesterol or diabetes, please call us to book – DO NOT USE THE SELF BOOKING LINK.
