Greenwich Health is leading the GP Federation by working closely with CCG, local NHS trusts and all care providers to make a greater impact in the community by delivering the best primary care.
Our first initiative has been an overwhelming success, as we have successfully launched 4 GP Hubs for everyone in Greenwich. With full access to a GP on both Saturday and Sunday, as well as every evening during the week, Greenwich Health is providing flexible primary care that works for our population.
From there we have developed our Live Well Centres, Dressing Service, Diabetes 3TT Service, Greenwich Training Hub and now our Vaccination Centre to support the COVID vaccination roll-out in Greenwich.
Each service has continued to improve primary care in Greenwich and most importantly, offered critical support to our partners, the 35 GP practices in Greenwich.
Health Care Assistant & Call Centre Advisor
An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of our Greenwich Health Live Well Service team.
This role is a varied one and involves working from our main Greenwich Health office, as well as at our Live Well centres across the borough. You would be taking on the administrative & Health Care Assistant tasks required to fulfil our commitment to deliver all our commissioned services for the Royal Borough of Greenwich in NHS Health Checks, Stop Smoking Services and supporting our Contraception and Sexual Health Services.
Eltham Medical Practice
Our colleagues at Eltham Medical Practice are looking to appoint a Salaried GP to join their supportive and friendly team, working 4-6 sessions per week.
The practice operates over three sites and has nearly 25,000 patients. This is a large and well-established training practice with a large clinical team of 12 Doctors, 4 ANPs, a Paramedic (covering home visits), 4 Nurses, 4 Pharmacists, a Physician Assistant, Physiotherapists and 2 HCAs. The team is led by GP Partners who are keenly involved in teaching and training.
Salary £10,800 per session
Indemnity insurance paid
6 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave pro rata per year
Fortnightly duty shift supported by 4 Advance Nurse Practitioners and a Paramedic
Weekly clinical meeting and 6 weekly Consultant talk (from BMI Blackheath)
Specialist clinics: MSK clinics provided weekly by our Advanced Physiotherapist, anticoagulant/INR and DOAC initiation and monitoring, asthma, COPD, depression/anxiety, diabetes, hypertension, joint injection, minor surgery and mole check clinics
No requirement for medicals, safeguarding letters or completion of insurance reports.

Eltham Medical Practice are currently recruiting for either a full or part-time Practice Nurse to join their friendly team.
The position requires 25 to 37.5 hours over a working week and the salary is negotiable dependant on experience. Duties will include but are not exclusive to cervical cytology, immunisations, vaccinations, wound care, and knowledge of QOF procedures.

Eltham Medical Practice
A vacancy has arisen for a permanent Patient Coordinator at Eltham Medical Practice.
Working 25-30 hours per week (Monday to Friday 5-6 hours per day), the role will include reception duties, answering telephone calls and providing administrative/clerical support. Flexibility is essential, as working both AM and PM shifts is a requirement, as is being able to provide sickness and holiday cover for colleagues at short notice.
The ability to work under pressure is essential. Ideally, candidates should also have previous experience of working in a customer facing environment. Good IT skills are also an essential part of this role. Knowledge of the Emis clinical system would be advantageous, but is not essential, as full training will be given.

Eltham Palace Surgery
Our colleagues at Eltham Palace Surgery are looking to recruit a confident and enthusiastic full-time Receptionist to join their friendly team situated within the Eltham Community Hospital, located near to Eltham High Street.
As a member of the front of house reception team, the successful candidate will be required to provide effective reception skills. Working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8.00am - 8.00pm on rotation, including a 7.00am start time on days where extended hours are operated, the post will initially be based on a one-year fixed term contract with the potential to extend this to a permanent position.
The role will include meeting/greeting all patients and visitors to the surgery, answering telephone calls and providing administrative/clerical support to the clinical and management teams. Flexibility is essential as you will be required to provide sickness and annual leave cover for colleagues. Staff members contracted to the practice are also eligible to apply for additional weekend hours providing reception cover for the out of hours GP Access Hub, which is located within the hospital. Shifts are available between 8.00am - 8.00pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
Applicants should possess excellent communication and IT skills. Previous experience of working in a GP surgery and use of the Emis clinical system are preferable, along with some basic knowledge of medical terminology. A competitive rate of pay is offered depending on experience and skills, however this is negotiable for candidates who are able to show demonstrable skills relevant to the role.
