At Greenwich Health, our commitment to supporting and empowering local general practice remains at the heart of everything we do. We understand the pressures facing primary care and continue to focus on delivering practical, meaningful support that helps practices not just manage - but thrive.
Through our Practice Support Programme, we work alongside member practices by providing targeted funding for projects that improve day-to-day operations and long-term sustainability.
Examples of our work

Care Navigation Toolkit
We offer a cloud-based care navigation toolkit to help reception and admin teams triage calls safely and
efficiently. A Greenwich-specific version is available to all practices - helping teams direct patients to the
right service at the right time, improving access and reducing pressure on GP appointments.

CQC Support
Our ongoing CQC Support Service, delivered in partnership with Care Consultancy Assist, continues to help practices prepare for inspections and maintain compliance. This trusted support remains a cornerstone of
our Practice Support Programme.

EMIS Training and Webinars
We deliver bespoke EMIS training and run a bi-monthly webinar series featuring expert insights from
Accurx, Ardens, and DXS. From EMIS optimisation to the Ardens Manager rollout, our practical, timely
sessions help staff use digital tools confidently and effectively in everyday practice.

Flexible Staff Pool
Through our partnership with Lantum, we provide practices with reliable access to local GP and nurse
locum cover - reducing agency fees, boosting flexibility, and promoting local vacancies to clinicians already
working within Greenwich practices. Since its creation in February 2022, the pool has saved practices over
£200,000 in agency fees.


Maximising Practice Income
Delivered by our colleagues at Ash Lane Consulting, practices are given the tools to optimise income from
Personally Administered Items (PAI) - streamlining processes, identifying cost savings, and strengthening
this vital revenue stream for long-term sustainability. Through Compass platform implementation and
targeted PAI reviews, we support practices maximise revenue and reduce the risk of lost income.
“It was very helpful. Apart from one Flu claim, we didn't get much money in back payments. But that was reassuring in that it meant our existing processes caught most potential claims. However what they did do was streamline our processes, making it much more efficient. What used to take half a day now takes about an hour. A really valuable saving in time. We have continued to use them for business continuity. The time saving just about justifies the cost now, but it will be really useful in the future to help succession planning.”

Practice Manager Forum
Our Practice Manager Forum offers a safe, supportive space for collaboration, shared learning, and peer
support. Regular sessions bring Practice Managers together to exchange ideas, celebrate their essential
role, shape solutions, and stay updated on local developments.


Recruitment
Using our digital marketing expertise, we support practices in attracting both clinical and administrative
staff through channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and our dedicated Careers page. In
addition to digital promotion, we are also able to provide hands-on support with job descriptions, NHS Jobs
listings, application management, shortlisting, and interview panels, helping practices connect with a wider
pool of candidates and tackle recruitment challenges effectively.

Workflow Optimisation
In most GP practices, the majority of clinical correspondence is reviewed by a GP - yet research shows that up to 80% of this workload can be safely managed by trained administrative staff, freeing as much as 40
minutes of GP time each day.
Our Workflow Optimisation protocol sets out the methodology, practical tips, and guidance for achieving
document workflow efficiency, reducing unnecessary clinical workload, and improving overall practice
productivity.
