Receptionist

Waverley Practice, based in the vibrant borough of Greenwich, South East London, operates across 2 sites in Plumstead and Welling, providing general medical services to its 4,400 patients.

As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, the Receptionist plays a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. The team is looking to recruit someone who is friendly, efficient and ready to make a positive contribution to their supportive and dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing the following effective and efficient reception skills:

· Meeting and greeting patients and visitors to the surgery.
· Managing appointment bookings and responding to telephone queries.
· Processing prescription requests.
· Scanning and filing clinical documents.
· Providing general administrative support to the clinical and management teams.

This is a part-time role, working 16-20 hours per week over 5 days, between 8:00am - 6:30pm (until 8:00pm on Fridays) on a set rota, with shifts across both sites. There is also an opportunity to work additional hours on Saturdays as part of the PCN’s Enhanced Access Service. Flexibility is essential to provide cover for colleagues during periods of sickness, annual leave, or extended hours.

Key Requirements:

· Previous customer service experience (GP surgery experience is highly desirable).
· Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.
· Excellent communication and IT skills.
· A team player with a proactive and professional approach.
· Experience using EMIS and Docman systems.
