Locum GP (12-Month Fixed-Term, Maternity Cover)

Burney Street Practice is seeking an enthusiastic, committed GP to cover a 12-month maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity for a GP looking for a short-term role in a high-quality, patient-centred, and friendly training practice.

About the Practice:
This patient-focused, GP-led PMS practice in Greenwich, serves approximately 15,000 patients across two sites - Burney Street Practice (SE10 8EX) and Wallace Health Centre (SE8 3BX). Known for clinical excellence and innovation, the friendly, skilled team includes GPs, nurses, ARRS staff, and a dedicated and diverse administrative team.

The Role:
The post-holder will provide safe, effective, and patient-centred primary care across both sites. Key responsibilities include:
Conducting booked patient appointments, both face-to-face and via telephone
Manage blood results, electronic prescriptions (EPS), and patient queries
Complete referrals, investigations, and results management with admin support
Contribute to quality improvement, clinical governance, and QOF achievement
Attend clinical meetings and relevant audits
Undertake home visits on request
Follow practice protocols and policies

Person Specification:

Essential:
GMC-registered GP with a licence to practise
Completion of GP specialist training (MRCGP or equivalent)
Inclusion on the NHS Performers List
Demonstrable experience of working in a GP practice

Desirable:
Experience using EMIS Web
