Operations Support Lead

Burney Street Practice is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Support Lead to play a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the practice.

This varied and rewarding position combines operational leadership, team management, governance and service improvement. Working closely with the Operations Manager, the post holder will lead the administration team, support the day-to-day reception function, oversee administrative workflows and help ensure the delivery of high-quality services to patients and staff.

The successful candidate will support compliance with CQC standards and NHS contractual requirements, coordinate governance activities, contribute to quality improvement projects and promote a positive, collaborative working environment across the practice.

About the Practice

Established for over 25 years, Burney Street Practice is a respected two-site training practice serving approximately 16,000 patients. Led by four GP Partners, the practice provides high-quality, integrated healthcare to a diverse population and is committed to innovation, education and continuous improvement.

As part of Greenwich West Primary Care Network and the Greenwich Health GP Federation, the practice works collaboratively with neighbouring surgeries to improve access and patient outcomes. The practice has a clear vision to deliver high-quality care, underpinned by values developed by the whole healthcare team. The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience working within an NHS GP practice
Experience leading or supervising administrative or reception teams
A strong understanding of primary care administration and patient services
Knowledge of governance, compliance and CQC requirements
Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
Experience using EMIS Web and Microsoft Office applications
