Sexual Safety Charter
In 2023, NHS England published the Sexual Safety Charter, developed with lived-experience organisations, professional bodies and healthcare employers. It commits organisations to making the workplace safe for everyone who works in the NHS and to protecting patients.
Greenwich Health has signed up to the Sexual Safety Charter.
That means we commit to:
1. Working actively to eradicate sexual harassment and abuse at work
2. Building an open, transparent culture that does not tolerate unwanted or harmful sexual behaviour
3. Recognising that some groups experience sexual harassment disproportionately, and taking an intersectional approach
4. Supporting colleagues who experience this behaviour
5. Setting clear standards of behaviour, including what we expect from people who witness it
6. Having clear policies, including timely action against alleged perpetrators
7. Providing clear, specific training
8. Providing proper reporting routes
9. Taking every report seriously and acting promptly
10. Capturing and sharing data on prevalence and staff experience openly
