EMIS Community: How it works when accessing practice records

This short video takes you through the process that is followed to access practice records for a patient.

Key Updates:

​

  • The records access isnt infinite and easy-access – it requires 3 pieces of mandatory information to locate the patient

  • Only then are patients traced into the GH system

  • When we open a patient, we have a shell record which is essentially the GH notes

  • Only by clicking specifically to open the record and with the patients recorded consent can we open the patient’s practice record.
